{Bloom Project}...

I started out making little
applique flower pieces.  That I planned to combine into a larger piece.
I had several ideas in mind.  But not sure exactly what I would do with them.
I made several flower patches and then began
to add layers at random.
Just laying scraps down and stitching here and there.
I complete these four and was ready to put it all together.

I had been at the thrift store earlier in the day when I saw this old frame.  I didn't
buy it then but later as I was planning out the final design I remembered it.  And knew it would be perfect.
I got more patches and more ideas for them.  So we'll see what I come up with next.

{I now choose to laugh}...

 Art Journal's title
"Choose to Laugh"
I don't usually put the spine on until after I have complete the pages
but I couldn't resist It all came together so quickly.
Below is the inside back cover.  The background fabric is a paint rag,  as are
the edges of the cover.
Some of you may know where these words come from.  Although written more
as we should have laughed at the tiny mad idea
My art is always very personal.  With meaning that I incorporated into
it without necessarily pointing it out.  So I love it when someone sees that meaning and asks about it.
This is such a page.

The outside back cover is a PSE photo of some snapdragons.

{summer art}...

A different form of painting.
Exploring painting a more complete body form.  Why a bald head I am not entirely
sure?  Only that I like it.

I have turned her into an art journal cover.  Surprise, Surprise!
I plan to use it as a demo for my next art journal class.

I continue to want to spend more time with my dear blog.
I 'm not ready to give it up.  But seem to have so little time for it.
I think apart of it is that I am having such a time trying to get a quality
photo.  I need to get a better camera.  But which one???  So in the meantime
it is what it is.
Thank you, everyone who still stops in.
