Self Portrait (SP)

SP
I'm joining in on Misty Mawn's Self Portrait (SP) Wednesdays.

I have been wanting to take different SP for a while now.

'Tis Gallery

Tis' Gallery
I took 6 pieces to the gallery today. 2 Art Quilts, 2 pieces of Wearable Art, and 2 knitted and felted purses. This is such a great gallery. It's actually a non-profit foundation for art. There are 3 stories the ground floor is the gallery. I believe the second floor will be use for child and arts. They still do not have any opening date yet. But its getting closer.
My time is finally my own. I can just sit and play in the garden.

Photoshop Fun

I will be getting together with fellow Les Femmes artist Sharon, in a couple of weeks to set up our Esty sites and thought I would practice coming up with some photos for the banner. I'm not having much success with what I have in mind to do. But I did find the "pencil" tool and it works pretty well. This was just a picture I didn't particularly like so there was no risk in experimenting with it. With the word on it I really like it. There is no explaining for taste. Well just got a call to go kayaking so the Photoshop and quilting will have to wait.

Indonesian Quilt off the Frame

Quilt is off the frame and ready for the binding. Below is the second part of the project a small wall hanging to coordinate with the larger bed throw.

Spring Time Around Town

Seems like we are actually having a spring time this year. So often here in Arizona we go right from winter into summer in a matter of a month. But this year we seem to be having an extended spring time.
Even the windows around town are sprouting beautiful spring flowers.

All of my creative energies are being spent gardening. My first love.

Iris'

My front yard in May. A couple of years ago I final found something that would grow in my front yard in heavy clay soil that is my "ET Bed" (If you have one you know what I mean.) and that the Havalina (there a wild pig) won't eat.

And what a beautiful garden they make.

Pic from our spring show. We had a great show. It was small and we plan on doing another spring show next year. It'll be bigger and I will be more prepared for having a show so close to tax season. So now we get ready for the fall show. It will be our 5th.
