{Thumb Butte Studio Tour}

Knitted these two little helmet style hats for the fall art shows. Only 4 weeks left before the Thumb Butte Studio Tour

Almost makes you wish cold weather were here ~

Almost.

I may add ribbons ties. To this one.

Although it looks good without them

Will have to wait and see what I come up with.

{New Art Piece by Mary Schulte}

Mary is a multi talented artist working in different mediums.

She will have lots of mosaic and clay items at the Les Femmes show this November.

It's simplistic in it's design. Which adds so much
to his charm.

"Skyewalker" has found a new home with me. ;-)
In shamanic practice, Horse enables us to fly through the air and reach the heavens. Horse also represents power, both physical and unearthly power.

{Creating Fabric Postcards}

Created a few more fabric postcards. Did a few "joy's" for the Christmas season coming up.
These can be mailed without any envelope.
You just have to take them to the post office for them to determine the postage.
And off they go.

{Les Femmes des Montage ~ gearing up}

Do I really know what I'm doing?

I just might.

This painting came out as good as I could have hope for.
I was not sure I could do it.

The inspiration came from this picture in Somerset Studio for Stampington's 2010 calendar. It might be by Misty Mawn.

And my original sketch
of the nine of us.
Ok, so who's who????
Playing with a couple ideas for the Les Femmes des Montage postcard. We thought we would do something different this year. It's our 5th year. ;-) I painted it. But it will take someone with more experience in Photoshop then me to get it ready for printing.

The "frame" was done with the mouse in Photoshop
On the painting it could be a better size and a bit neater.

{Art Journal Bliss}

One of my first face paintings
And the inside front and back covers.
The back page includes a "found" poem.
I enjoy reading and even a write a bit of poetry
and having discovered this new form of "writing"
to be a lot of fun.
The outside back cover
which includes word stitched pocket.
I will further embellish and complete the inside pages later.
I find it is hard to switch gears from one form of
creating to another. Whether it is painting, sewing, knitting, or gardening.
Its odd :-)

{Face painting and expermenting with Photoshop}

New painting
and still working with frames. For now I will have to use the frames in ways I can make them work.
Really!!!!!!!!!!!!!
these things should be easier to download and use.

{Photoshop Play}

I download my first frames.
And with just a little, if you can say a hour of time is a little, I was able to create these two framed photos. They are not perfect so I probably am not doing it correctly.
But still they came out well enough

{In my Studio}

Gearing up for the fall shows.

featured each week over the next couple of months leading up to the
Thumb Butt Studio Tour and up to the Les Femmes show.

{A Fiber Artists Poetry}

The final piece of Art~
The Canvas~
As a fiber artist I often feel like I am creating the canvas itself to which I will add other embellishments that will complete the art piece.
The Palette~
What a Fiber Artist uses like paints.
The fibers and colors are like poetry.
All the "lines" coming together
to create a visual poem.
A poem, a piece of art that you can wrap around you.

{Asymmetrical Wrap}

You can't tell by the photo but it is asymmetrical.
I wonder?
If it doesn't look asymmetrical is it?
